Removal of extension cords and surge protection

This is the third item I have bought and the production level has dropped a lot. I bought the first two over a year ago and they have been solid. I bought it a week ago and it arrived in a deformed box. Deformed because whoever assembled it decided the on/off switch shouldn't sit directly on the plastic body and then just tried to screw it together by bending the plastic body and "sort of" putting the switch there left. So sent. Apparently nobody checked. Revain was cool and sent me a replacement right away, but the replacement is the same generation and pretty cheaply made. It works like a switch, but I wouldn't trust it for anything else. And I can't safely open it to check the integrity of its internal parts since the screws used are disposable. So yes, be careful what you buy here. The price is cheaper than it was a year ago, and the workmanship has also declined.
