Review on ๐ŸŽง Sony WI-1000XM2: Unparalleled Noise-Canceling Wireless Behind-Neck Headset with Alexa Voice Control, Silver by David Maxwell

Good for music, not so good for phone call quality

Overall very good for sound quality. I had Wi-1000x and find the xm2 better for listening to music. I have a problem with phone quality and ambient mode. When they plug the mic into the cable, it rubs against my collar and people on the other line get a lot of noise. And they totally screwed up the side effect (mic feedback to your ears from your own voice). There's an Ambient Sound Mode setting, which should give you background noise and your own voice, but it's barely audible. The wi-1000x had some pretty good side effects and background feedback, so I think they should be able to fix it with software (nods Sony). Recommended if you just want to listen to music, not if you plan to use it for phone calls and office environments where you need ambient mode.
