I usually don't write reviews after using a product for less than 2 hours but these buds won me over. Out of the box they didn't sound the way I expected them to. Especially after all the positive reviews. At first it looked like my JBLs would outperform these in terms of sound quality, but they just needed time to break in. The firmware update was inconvenient both in time to lock up and to tether the phone (I couldn't use it to work with another headphone). At this point, I was hoping that the update would improve the sound quality I've come to expect from this brand, and it did. It took time, along with a break in the period, maybe 6-12 hours. After this time, they turned out to be much more detailed than expected. The app really makes this purchase more than worth it. You have done a great job on this. I found myself tweaking every song! And it was fun. So I came back to update this review to give them the credit they deserve, around 4.5 stars rounded up.
