This iron heats up quickly. I set the temperature to medium. I would like to order a holder but used an oven mitt instead. It is recommended to use good thermal protection; I used Chi Argan Oil with Moringa Oil. I have Type 4 natural African American hair and this tool did a great job in straightening my hair. It would have looked even better if I had taken the time to straighten my hair, but the nice comments from my co-workers kept coming! The Herstyler Pro Fusion feels solid and well made. I was amazed to learn that some people have bought other Herstylers for as little as $250! I received this item in a short time.
