First off, I’m always leery of measurements given for online clothing because they never seem right and wind up being too small in the bust for me, BUT this dress is generously cut! I saw one reviewer complained that this dress was too casual, but it states in the listing that it’s a casual dress. I think it could be worn casually or dressed up some personally.The fabric is polyester and spandex, but it feels like a soft, brushed cotton knit. Almost like thinner stretchy flannel if you get my drift. I’m 5’7 1/2” and it goes to the floor on me… not quite touching the floor… so I can wear it with heels or flats. I love the ruched waistband at the empire waist and the skirt is lightly gathered to cover up an ample tummy somewhat. I’ll most likely wear shape wear underneath just to smooth things out further. The pockets are nice and big and set into the side seams so that you can’t see them unless you’re looking for them. The sleeves are a little long, but not so much that I’ll have to tailor them. I prefer longer sleeves. The vee neck is pretty deep, so if you’re modest you might want to wear a cami under it. If you like to show cleavage, then go without.I got the sunflower pattern because I thought it was cute and unique. I may wear this dress to Thanksgiving dinner at a friend’s house with some black tights underneath and ankle boots. I want to look a little casual, but put together and I think it’ll be perfect. I could probably also wear this to work. It’s definitely a good winter dress. The fabric is snugly and warm and might be too hot for milder weather.I really like this dress and I love that it’s cut a little on the big side. If you’re smaller busted you could probably size down one.
