I was looking for a rotating stand for my iPad Pro 10.5β. It looked like a solidly built stand. It has positive reviews. I received mine and assembled it. Metal base and bracket with plastic inserts in the grip holes. The base is probably steel. The sleeve is most likely aluminum. The handle that holds the device is made entirely of plastic. Spring-loaded arms extend to accommodate different sized implements. The grip head is attached to the hand with a threaded collar. The yoke fixes the tooth part with the ball on the adjustable ball and socket joint. Angle and pitch are easily adjusted with the thumb button. The hand bends beautifully. The kit includes two hex wrenches for adjusting and tightening the lever links to a tighter position. In general it is well built, I like its appearance. This raises my iPad to its preferred height. I'm not a big fan of all-plastic pens. It seems like a cheap finish for a solid build. However, it works. The main problem I have is that it wobbles. When I used the tablet and tapped the screen, it bounced and wobbled. (See attached video) I can see the upper arm flexing and twisting as it wiggles. It's kind of a deal breaker for me. I wanted something that would hold the tablet at the desired height, but does not wobble during use. The arm's two thin strands of aluminum flex too much for my liking. I think it's a design issue. If the arm sections were solid instead of open/strands, I think it would be more stable and wouldn't dangle. I tried my old 7 inch Android tablet and the stand was still wobbly. Advantages: Robust construction. Smooth articulations. Wide range of adjustment options with thumb knob and Allen keys. beautiful appearance. Cons: Not suitable for tablets 7 inches or larger. shaky. Plastic handle against metal. UPDATE: She was too shaky. With anything that involved browsing or reading while interacting or typing, the hesitation was too hard to overcome. I returned this stand for a refund. metal.UPDATE: That was too shaky. In anything that involved looking or reading while interacting or typing, the hesitation was too difficult to overcome.
