Much better than a curling iron!
It looks like an extended curling iron combined with a flat iron. It's the best of both worlds! First the length. The cylinder is longer and helps me curl or straighten my long hair more easily as more hair can fit in the longer length. Second, the barrel. It has pressure so it gently holds my hair between the barrel and the clip. Great because I can thread my hair through without tugging, tugging or frizzing at the ends. It has enough pressure that I don't have to constantly struggle to hold the plates together like a regular straightener. Also design. Yes, they still haven't figured out how to place the temperature and power buttons anywhere other than right under the clip's thumb. WHY? So yes, I accidentally turned off the device and/or changed the temperature. All in all I would definitely buy again.
