Review on Liteon IHAS324 DVD RW Optical Drive - Fast and Reliable Solution for Disc Burning and Data Backup by Jorge Tupou

Hello, I bought this drive expecting it to work very well, definitely better than my 3 year old Optiarc AD-7200S. Well it isn't. I ran the included Nero DiscSpeed 5 software on both drives on the same computer. The old drive outperformed it in reading speed. Here are the reading results: __________Liteon__OptiarcAverage__3.95x___7.41xStart____2.63x___4.92xEnd_____5.00x___9.39x Both tests were performed with the same SQL Server 2008 DVD from Microsoft. Unfortunately, the old Optiarc doesn't burn DVDs either. If you are looking for a really fast DVD drive, you can keep looking. Best regards, John
