I struggled to fill them up when I first got them, but here's the method I chose and it works great: Place the tea leaves in a shallow bowl that is at least is four times as wide as the teapot and as deep as it is high. Then simply open the teapot and place the base in the bowl. Then use your other hand to push in the tea leaves. I've bought glassware with lids that snap open securely and seal with a rubber grommet. Then when I buy my tea leaves, I just pour them into a plate and they seal them tightly inside. Another handy tip: fill the tea infuser and then wrap it in aluminum foil so it's fairly airtight. - a tea lollipop, from which you can then quickly brew tea at any time (after removing the foil, of course).
