Well you're buying this for the chrome worktop to match your other Hansgrohe parts. The plastic handle is the same as the $5 Home Depot or Lowes device. No kidding, I checked the part number. If you have thicker granite or quartz countertops with a 5/8" plywood backing this may not work as the threaded section is about 2.5" long. So you need to measure the distance between the top of the rack and the bottom of the plywood base. Mine was 2 and 1/8 inch thick so I had to buy another 3.5 inch threaded plastic rod and then use that chrome plate with this unit.
