I originally bought this charger for my husband's truck as he has an iPhone 8 kept mine! It has mounting options for both the dash and the vent, and I went with the vent. I've been using it for a week and it hasn't fallen off yet so I think it's attached fairly securely. I just positioned it so I could see it while driving. When you insert your phone, the sensors open the fastening clips and then automatically close around the phone. It's very simple and works well for any size phone. It comes with a car cable ending in USB, so you'll need a USB socket (which I have) or a cigarette lighter converter with USB ports. It charges very quickly after being placed on the charger. The only thing I would mention is that be sure to remove it from the mount before turning off the car and opening the door. If the machine is turned off and the device is not powered, the sensors will not open, so this must be done manually. It's easy to get used to. All in all a fantastic product!
