I believe this mod is a must have for anyone who wants to customize their jeep 4.0. I haven't repaired the lid and rotor for 15 years and everything ran smoothly. It couldn't be easier. I decompressed all the spark plugs to .035 and replaced the entire cap, rotor, wires and spark plugs. Elapsed time - 1 hour. The Jeep idles VERY smoothly and the power delivery is much smoother too. I am sure that my gas consumption will also increase slightly. My old lid and rotor were burned! Thanks to the Jeep 4.0L for still running like a beast, but those contact points sucked and were uncomfortable! The Accel Kit exudes quality. The wires are thick and well made, the lid and rotor all have brass contact points as opposed to what was on it with steel contact points. The spark plugs were way better than the champions I had. Most Jeep execs would tell you to only drive champions according to the manufacturer, but these Accel plugs work great in mine so your mileage may vary. As for me, I give this customization kit a thumbs up! Kit for 33" BFG A/T with adjustable rear crossmember and anti-roll bar. Dynomax exhaust. Temperature control 180 degrees. Wix air filter. After a year of cleaning she's now getting 20mpg highway. Work continues.
