I have some very old and very expensive brass and cloisonné lamps that burn out all the time. It was clear that I had to do something about it - at least new power cords and new sockets. I chose a GE product from the Revain range because I wanted known reliability. It was a good choice as I was in the process of moving away from incandescent bulbs and going to very expensive LEDs. This socket saved my day and now my lightbulbs work well and reliably and I'm not afraid they will burn my lightbulbs, especially the expensive ones.
