Not bad but beware, retrieval trap

I was disappointed with this item as it was significantly larger than the regular Condor hydration pack despite the dimensions being almost the same. I needed a small backpack for cycling, not the huge backpack for hiking the Alps that I got. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the sizing issue wasn't so much the size, but the straps. There was no way to shorten the straps enough to fit both me and a regular Condor hydration pack. Anyway, I sent it back only to find out that Compulsive Inc. will only give a full refund if the item is damaged or not. was ordered. Instead, they only refund the cost of the item minus the shipping cost, which in the case of this item is $11. a favor by not charging me another $11 for initial shipping. This means it is their standard practice to calculate shipping both ways when an item is returned. Just FYI ;) Anyway, I guess that's what I get if I buy an item that doesn't qualify for Prime, right? This suggests that the quality of the package was actually quite good. I'm sure it will be a good package for someone. But as with all non-camelbak hydration packs, I recommend replacing the non-camelbak bladder with a true camelbak bladder. From what I have read and heard from friends, Condor mainly has bladder problems. In my experience, Camelbak cameras are not only reliable, but also easier to use and easy to find parts and accessories. The last thing you want in hot weather is to lose all your water when you need it.
