Review on Let's Go Chia Peanut Butter Protein: Plant-Based Powder with 5 Ingredients, 8g Fiber, Keto-Friendly, and Low Calorie by Katie Garcia

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very "sticky " texture. Dark Chocolate/Bitter

If you have trouble with food consistency, this protein powder is not for you. Like whole chia seeds, immediately after mixing with water, they have a slimy, gooey texture with large and large clumps of thick, gooey mass. Blended with ice in a blender, with additional liquid to dilute, the gooey, chunky nature of this mix is reduced into a smoother yet thicker cocktail. But if you're just mixing it by hand in cold water, be prepared for sticky clumps. I wouldn't say peanut butter is the predominant flavor. It's the taste of dark chocolate with a bitter undertone of very dark chocolate! If you like dark chocolate and don't like sweets, you'll love it. If you prefer milk chocolate or sweet flavors, this will be a bit strong for you. I love dark chocolate but have found I need to add more stevia to make it tastier. Macros are fine, but not as good as a purer protein source. A large 30-gram serving has only 12 grams of protein and 5 net carbs (13 carbs total), so it's not great in terms of protein. However, it's quite good nutritionally and the ingredients are very pure, with no added "natural flavors" or undeclared flavors, fillers, or gums.
