Cheap quality but still a good toy

My 2 year old loves this toy. Since mom is a mechanic and repeats everything I do, it was perfect for her, but the quality is not very good. A little thin. I doubt this toy will last a full year. Less than a month later the struts holding the hood fell off, I'm sure the hood itself will break too and I need to fix it. Right out of the box I had to disassemble the ignition switch and fix the insides as the button and springs were misplaced and it didn't work at all. The ignition switch speaker is of terrible quality and the sound is very quiet. Hard to hear it start when you turn the key. The bolt holding the excavator bucket keeps falling out, although my child never touches that part of the toy. Aside from cheap quality plastic it's great, it entertains my kid, she loves fixing her car and hanging her dolls on the wheel, she's obsessed with excavators thanks to Blippi and the Kid Connection Power Tool Playset I Bought this for Christmas actually fits all the screws and makes it even better as it comes with a working drill and screwdriver bits. To turn on the headlights, you need to press the plastic cover of the headlight (the part where the light bulb is located). This is the switch to turn on the headlights. If it doesn't turn on with fresh batteries, press the reset button on top, IMO it's gray (remove from car first) to "fix" the headlights. The red buttons will "break" any part you press, and your child will have to unscrew the screws, remove that part, and press the reset button to get it working again.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
