They work great except about 1/10 fell apart within the first few weeks. If you would let them on something for a while, that's probably great. I use them to attach and remove row covers/heat shields to plants and they just aren't strong enough for that use. The little orange legs are pretty easy to remove and easy to put back if you find them. But if everything falls apart / the spring opens - it's much harder to put it back together. Haven't tried other brands - it may not be possible to make something strong enough, plastic and not rusty on the outside.
