I do my own gel nails at home. I either apply fresh color or top up existing color on a weekly basis, so it's important for me to protect my skin from the UV rays needed to set the gel. These gloves work very well. I have medium sized hands for a woman and they fit well in the palm area. The material is quite dense and looks a bit like swimwear fabric. They are easy to put on and take off and I can roll them up like a pair of socks to keep them together in my manicure kit. I'm deducting one star from the rating for the following reasons: First, the fingers could be a bit longer. I want the glove to go right down to the cuticle, so I often pull the palm area up to my fingers to cover as much of my fingers as possible; Second, the fabric seems to pill a little at the seams of my fingers, which can leave tiny black lint on my fingers. I solve this problem by wearing gloves before finally wiping my nails with cleanser before applying the gel base.
