This is a well-designed scratching & grooming post, probably best suited for smaller cats. It is sturdy, but tends to move a little with larger cats using it. There were no assembly instructions but the diagram is self-explanatory and the included allen wrench helped to tighten the base. My cats were a little reluctant to use it at first, but they warmed up to it after a generous sprinkling of catnip. I like the neutral colors; the post blends in well with my decor.
