post did not last long

This post somehow broke from the bottom pole despite screwed in appropriately. It was looking good for a few weeks but how do 3 month old kittens get the pole apart from the rest. They love to scratch it and want to play but I don't know how to get this set up again.

Solid, sturdy, and attractive for your cat

Got this and assembled it in less than 3 minutes. Easy to put together, it has different textures for my cats and they seem interested in it thus far. They haven't really used the scratching portion with the rope, but as cats are, they are being particular and curious enough to smell it and 'experiment' with it. In other words, I think they are trying to 'get to know it'. I believe this will help most cats, especially those who have claws as some of ours do, that it will keep them from the…

Solid base and easy to assemble.

This is very sturdy for a small scratching post. Sometimes they can be a little wobbly but this one has a very solid base and doesn't move much when they use it. It was very easy to assemble (took me less than 5 minutes). I love the cat groomer on the bottom for the cats to rub against. I sprinkled a little catnip on it to engage their interest initially but that was really all it took. It's a nice option, especially for small cats and kittens.

Cheap is different than budget

My first impressions when this showed up at my front door was confusion. The packaging was small and significantly damaged. In addition, there were no markings or indicators of who or where the item came from. When I opened the box I realized it was the cat post. It is smaller than how its portrayed in the Walmart listing. The bottom base is pressboard that's cut and folded in half like a monopoly game board. Great for Kittens and Surprisingly Portable

This is a great cat scratcher for people who have kittens and/or small cats. The size is great for those who have limited floorspace or in a small apartment. The only gripe I really have with the product is that the actual scratching post is a little thin compared to some of the other ones I've gotten before. Functional and attractive

This is a well-designed scratching & grooming post, probably best suited for smaller cats. It is sturdy, but tends to move a little with larger cats using it. There were no assembly instructions but the diagram is self-explanatory and the included allen wrench helped to tighten the base. My cats were a little reluctant to use it at first, but they warmed up to it after a generous sprinkling of catnip. I like the neutral colors; the post blends in well with my decor.

Jaoul 21 " Cat Scratching Post, Kitten Scratching Posts for Indoor Cats with Cat Self Groomer

So far, the only cat to use this is my female cat. I saw her scratching it and rubbing on it the other day so she seems to enjoy it. Seems to hold its own with her claws, which are much sharper than my Male Cat's claws. So It should hold up well for him. I'd order the bigger size where as both of my cats are full size now. Pretty easy design to put together. My wife had it put together in less than 15 mins. Stable, easy to put together. Would recommend.

Small light base, so not great for big cats

This went together very easily and in a matter of minutes. The carpet is well connected to the wood structure. The toy on top is soft with a lot of bounce. The downside to this is that it is lightweight. The base is so light that my cat pulls it over easily when trying to use it. Great for kittens but not so much for adult cats.

Good Quality, Easy Assembly, Compact

At first I was a little skeptical of the sturdiness because the base comes folded, which just seemed weird, but once it's put together it's a non-issue. The assembly is super easy (five mins or less), especially considering the instructions were an ok guide but not super helpful.I did use a measuring tape before I ordered it and somehow I was still surprised by how short it was. Cute, good quality but cats won’t use it!

I was surprised how nice the quality of this was. It is small but nice looking for our living room. It took my cats a couple of days to use it but now they love it.
