Fleece really helps with chafing. Fits good. Good quality. Also add shock absorbers to the straps on the bar and under the jaw to avoid chafing. As with all pasture muzzles, my gelding managed to slip it over his ears, but the design allowed me to slip the ruff easily through the loops in the buffer at the top and that held it in place. I don't know why manufacturers don't think of this simple solution. I would have preferred a buckle instead of velcro but I'm not complaining as it's a minor issue and everything else I really like.
