This was a last minute hail mary right before leaving for my first kid-included camping trip. Without it, there's no way we'd have fit everything. It came at like 9 pm the night before we left, JUST in the nick of time.We loaded it up - probably over loaded it - with a mix of camp chairs and bedding (air beds, sleeping bags, pillows, blankets) and had to squish it down on top and use 4 hands to get it zipped. But we cinched it down at 4 points on the vertical roof rails, and drove 100 miles at 75mph and it didn't budge. The surplus straps flapped, stirring some preliminary anxiety, but it all worked out just fine, and we re-jiggered the strap slack for the trip home and mitigated that.It was dry for our whole trip, so I can't speak to the water resistance, but it is thick and rubberized material with heavy duty hook & loop tabs to conceal the zipper. Honestly, I like its chances.The material is solid, the straps are secure, and the surplus space it creates is absolutely essential. Would absolutely recommend.
