I bought this toaster because of all the button functions; Defrosting, reheating, etc. etc. According to the instructions, you need to press the button and it lights up, and then press the lever to start toasting. Well, none of the buttons light up BEFORE you push the toaster lever down - only after you've pushed the lever down. The only function that seems to do what it says AFTER lowering the lever is pressing the bagel button, which just initiates the internal burners to toast the inside of the bagel. Lever after toasting to get the toast out better. In my case, it's an English muffin, so I had to flip the toaster and shake out the muffin. What a joke.
