Griot's Choice on Waxes

Let me start by saying that I have been using Griot's for many years. I have a black BMW 03 with original paint that I still get compliments on. Any car enthusiast knows this is saying something for a black car. However, I just used this new Liquid Gloss Poly Wax Kit for the first time on a 2019 Dodge Durango. My son chose to have it washed at a gas station car wash and you know what that does to wax. The day started cloudy so I decided to cover the 4x4 outside. The first sections were made in cloudy weather. The sun was half out and I decided to keep going. To my surprise the sunny part was just as good as the cloudy part. The wax was easy to apply and remove. Now here's the downside. This wax is by no means as shiny as Griot's carnauba wax. I would also use their best show wax before this stuff. But if I was in a hurry to apply wax, I'd probably go with this wax. Finally, I haven't seen how it performs in the rain or what happens a few weeks later when the pollen goes bad, but it's good enough for my first spring coat. The next coat will definitely be the best on the show, followed by the carnauba coat. It will get me through the summer for sure.

Pros
  • Smooth application and lightning fast erase by hand or machine
