Review on Powerful Intel Core i7-3770K Quad-Core Processor with 8MB Cache and LGA 1155 Compatibility - BX80637I73770K by Cam Vi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

And now the most interesting thing. few people talk about this and carefully wipe it on IXBT, but fans of overclocking i7-3x70K and even i7-2xx0K CPUs should take this into account. The fact is that in all overclocking manuals it is advised to disable C1E / EIST / C3 / C6. I've never done it, and as it turned out, not in vain. And here the point is that these functions, regardless of the Enable / Disable position, always work as if they are in the Enable position. It turned out by accident when I just tried to put them in the Disable position. Firstly, this did not remove the variable frequency, and secondly, and this is the main thing. The minimum power consumption from the SUA1000, as it was 103VA, remains 103VA, when the idle mode in Windows is turned off in terms of power supply, the minimum increases to 145-148VA and the frequency is stable. So don't scratch the dog's fifth leg.

Pros
  • Power! energy efficiency)
Cons
  • The only) thermal interface that should be changed almost immediately. Now it's summer and it's hot. with the Intel thermal interface, the temperature under the linpack was 93-94 for the cores in such weather. After being replaced by Arctic Cooling, the MX-4 dropped to 83-86 cores. At the same time, the Zalman CNPS 10x Quiet cooler with the replaced fan is quieter than it worked with the Intel thermal interface.
