Used on 04 Colorado. Use a universal wire harness to attach the trailer lights. The brake light couldn't be made to work with that seat belt, but it didn't make much of a difference ($5). After that I found the plug adapter I was supposed to use made by Hopkins (12632871) for $35. But it's still very bright and looks amazing at night. A $35 tether would make installation a lot easier, so save yourself the headache and it's worth it. A YouTube video shows you how to connect the harness and how easy it is. I had to do some digging to find the correct suspension because there was no video for my particular truck.
