I have ordered two of these tea strainers and have been using them for almost a year. When they arrived I found the metal to be very thin but that wasn't a problem and actually it could be better because they don't retain much heat so they're a comfortable temperature to take outside. cup after brewing tea. One of them was warped when it arrived but the replacement came quickly and they weren't dented or deformed from normal use. The holes on the side are tiny so no leaf particles get into the tea. I recommend washing them in the dishwasher regularly; this protects them from discoloration from the tea. I prefer this to a tea ball because there is no spring to break and let the tea leaves through. The lid also serves as a base to place the colander in after use to protect your counters. Fits well in a regular coffee mug.
