Didn't work in my area with our P25 800Mhz system

If I pay over $300 for a handheld scanner, I don't have to manually upgrade individual parts (e.g. better batteries, better antenna, etc.) just to get it working make. Even after purchasing a better 800MHz antenna, the scanner still had trouble picking up 800MHz transmissions in my area. If I am returning this scanner I will look for another brand.
