I got lucky and found a Dyson Ball Animal 2 at a thrift store for $30. What was missing was investment. After reading reviews and researching the Dyson website for tool compatibility I settled on this one. In terms of quality, they do not differ from the plastic injection nozzles that came with my other vacuum cleaners. Considering what you get, this is excellent value for money, especially when compared to buying Dyson branded attachments. My only issue and the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that although 5 out of 7 tools fit perfectly, the soft duster and adapter are not made properly. The diameters of the ends used to attach them to the hose do not match the rest of the tools. The adapter is too small, does not snap into place and does not hold. The soft dust nozzle is too big to fit in the hose. You can insert the adapter into the dust removal tool, but since the adapter doesn't stay attached, even using both tools is impractical. If they made a soft dusting tool with the same diameter as the others, that would be perfect. Anyway, I'll either have to get a Dremel tool to reduce the diameter, glue on an adapter, or just not use everything. UPDATE: The quickest, easiest, and cheapest solution I've come up with is to tape down two rows a few inches and tightly wrap the end of the adapter that fits the hose. This compensates for the incorrect diameter to create a tight fit and seal. While this doesn't make up for the manufacturing error, it does make it work.
