Good block for legal size suspension files

This is a solid piece of furniture but for a number of reasons I think this is a much better buy if you only use the legal size binder hangings and not medium letter size . Pros: - Beautiful design and classic look. - Sturdy once assembled - Deep, roomy drawers - Drawers slide smoothly and require an extra push to flick a switch that seats them firmly. - The laminated device I received was undamaged and looks quite attractive. Cons: Assembly - the instruction manual is very small, so the diagrams are very small and difficult to decipher. It's not as well thought out as the Ikea booklet. Often the only thing that distinguished one piece from another was the screw hole, pre-drilled in one and not the other. Small dots are important! We found the instructions online and printed them out at full size which made it easier. - Very little pre-assembly was done for you. There were some parts that could just as easily be pre-assembled to save the customer time. Ikea learned how to do this, and Bush was able to use it as a guide. Versatility: The center binder bar for letter-size files (where the binders actually hang) is plastic and won't stay in place. After you put on a few suspension files, the rod stays in place, but the plastic doesn't seem strong enough for a long-term solution if you have a lot of files. All of our other filing cabinets have metal ledges for filing or a metal shelf insert for filing storage. If you store most of your files electronically, this shouldn't be too much of a problem. However, if you need to keep hard copies and have a lot of files, I would look for a device with metal binder rods that can take the weight. Of course you can buy metal crossbars to replace the plastic ones, but at this price I would expect them to be metal to begin with. Each drawer only holds one drawer depth for letter folders. Legal-size files hang from a metal bar at the front and back of the drawer, filling the entire drawer. If this unit were only a few centimeters wider, two rows of letter folders could easily fit in it. I hope the pictures explain what I mean. So it will be a good and reliable purchase of legal acts. For letter-size suspension files, this isn't the best option.
