I regretted buying this item as soon as I hooked it up to my radio. No matter how hard I tightened the thumbscrew, the bracket still moved and didn't hold the radio in the desired tilted position. Using this mount makes plugging or unplugging microphone jacks very difficult. Also, I couldn't find a way to install the mic cable strain relief bracket, which is usually held in place by a ground screw replaced with a thumbscrew. Various antennas are lighter, notably the 2m/440 whip antenna. Much easier, cheaper and less cumbersome.
