I have owned several pairs of Rockport shoes in the past. In fact, I bought them to replace a pair I've been wearing daily for over a year and were finally wearing out. Every pair I have ever owned is a size 9.5 and they fit perfectly. I am the same size with this model and they are huge. I could fit an entire index finger and then some between my foot and the back of the shoe. It's really a problem of poor quality control. In the age of advanced technology, why can't shoe companies correctly determine the size? It is simply a matter of measuring the physical dimensions of the shoe and applying those measurements to a known shoe size chart. This isn't rocket science. I should have read the reviews before buying anyway but I just assumed they were good since they are Rockports.
