It's Starret! on measuring and marking tools
This Starrett 33H-12-4R square is typical Starrett quality. The square head is well made and the square fits my reference perfectly. The rule is smooth and satin chrome plating. The edges of the ruler are of course machined, not punched. I can work continuously with this square and not have to worry about cutting my hand on the punched edge. The head also fits my 18" and 24" Starrett range, allowing it to do multiple things. I admit that I own several Brown & Sharp instruments which are also of excellent quality. But I think Starrett is the best.
