I bought the bulbs because the 25w G9 bulbs that light my Kitchen Aid microwave have burned out. They lasted a few years but I thought it would be a good idea to switch to more efficient bulbs. Not all LEDs are dimmable. Actually that was NO problem, they dim without flickering. The microwave oven has ON, DIM and OFF settings and this is where I found a surprising problem. The light and dark settings work as expected, but when the light is supposed to be turned off, it doesn't turn off completely. This is only a minor point for me as they put out enough light (in this off state) to act as a very low level night light. A big word of caution when using LED lights in the kitchen. Oven lighting (inside the kiln itself) must operate at temperatures much higher than LED lighting can handle. NEVER replace the original tungsten lamp installed in the oven with an LED lamp. LED bulbs are great for under counter and general lighting, but are not designed for the harsh environment inside the oven. Tungsten bulbs are much less efficient than LEDs, but they are much more reliable. I gave the bulbs 4 stars because the light won't turn off, but it's more likely an issue with how the microwave switch works. than the LEDs themselves.
