Overall I think this is a good product for the price. It didn't live up to my expectations and didn't meet my needs, so I'm sending it back. Sizing: Your XL has a 34-36" waist, smaller than I expected from an XL, my fault I didn't refer to the manufacturer's sizing chart. .These are single layer mesh shorts, unlined, fully transparent which cover a narrow webbing sewn into the waistband and two elastic bands that go around the hips.Jill has a Velcro tab so you can remove the mug for washing but you cannot remove it while you are wearing it , as the tab at the top between the retainer and the short mesh faces outward. I thought the elastic leg straps looked quite flimsy, maybe they were made lighter for comfort, but I don't think they will last long under heavy loads. The Shorts have a short waist which would be perfect for me if the size was larger as I have a short waist the cup size doesn't seem to be affected by the short size hence fa nd I found the area covered somewhat small and not suitable for my needs. (I had abdominal surgery and wanted something with more organ protection than suggested.) The cup itself felt comfortable and protected the area to be covered well.
