The fabric ripped at the waist after a pair of socks!

Has been used for about a month and then began to tear along the waist just because they put it on and off several times. Low quality. The waist is a little small for my taste, but overall it fits. The shell is super and stays in place. I can't wear them anymore because of the tears.

Great product - kudos for making baby shelters for girls!

This was the only protective clothing I could find for my 9 year old daughter to practice martial arts (Tang Soo Do). This goes well with her very small stature and I'm not worried now about her being hit and dropped. Excellent goods. Fantastic size! It's amazing that Shock Doctor makes body armor products for male and female athletes of all ages, from childhood to adulthood! Thank you!

Excellent quality, second bought

Bought to play hockey. I read reviews about how it fits and went up a size from what I usually wear. It was definitely the right decision. The shorts are comfortable and the straps are great. I wash them in a bra bag so the tabs don't stick anywhere and then hang them to dry. The foam liner could have been thicker, but since it's removable I bought a thicker one for game days and just use the standard inlay for practice. I've tried a few different styles of Jills and I liked them the best so Iโ€ฆ

Overall I think this is a good product for the price. It didn't live up to my expectations and didn't meet my needs, so I'm sending it back. Sizing: Your XL has a 34-36" waist, smaller than I expected from an XL, my fault I didn't refer to the manufacturer's sizing chart. .These are single layer mesh shorts, unlined, fully transparent which cover a narrow webbing sewn into the waistband and two elastic bands that go around the hips.Jill has a Velcro tab so you can remove the mug for washing but

Exactly what I was hoping for - effective protection in nice comfortable shorts

I ordered these for Krav Maga and found them to be exactly what I was looking for. You work a little tight; I usually wear medium ones and they fit me, but if I had extra pads they wouldn't fit. The elastic is surprisingly wide and comfortable (I'm picky about that) and also snug. They are flattering too. I removed the Velcro on the waist, front and back because I simply wear them as shorts over compression shorts for the benefit of protecting my pelvis. And this protector has been pretty goodโ€ฆ
