Review on Blue Horse Chemex Coffee Matching by Amanda Perkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nicely done. Suitable for coffee, tea and espresso

When I was looking to buy one of these (late November 2019) four different ones were sold on Revain. They looked almost the same (except for silicone pads of different colors). They cost between $23 and $30 and I couldn't really tell the difference between them. I chose the Blue Horse because it was the only one made in America (and not the most expensive). When I first saw these Chemex holders I thought "I could make one myself - why pay for it?" But then I admitted to myself that I never intended to waste time on it. So I figured for $25 I'd just buy one. When it arrived I was happy to see that it was well made, fit well and I didn't have to ship or finish anything. It was good right out of the box. It should be noted that this box can probably be oriented in two ways. In one case the silicone mat fits perfectly, in the other case the mat is too long. I noticed that a few reviewers stated that the checkmate they received was too long. I suspect they just misaligned their box. I recommend that if you find your rug is too short, rotate the box a little and you will find that the rug now fits perfectly. Overall this is a good addition to my kitchen and well worth the price.
