this is a really nice pet bed/blanket, actually more of a bed than a blanket. its a little too thick for a blanket. although i wouldn't use it for my dogs only bed as its not really thick enough to provide support, maybe for a cat that is not too heavy or for a kitten. i use this mat to go over my dogs larger thicker bed and she really loves to snuggle up on it, both sides work well for cooling or warming. i do recommend this for extra loft to an existing dog bed. a little over priced i believe, but worth it because my dog sleeps on it everyday and she loves it.
