A bit clunky but it worked really well in the end. The bulkiness made it difficult to find a good spot on the windshield, which was high up and out of sight. The mirror played its part in the 'hard to find' dilemma because the suction cup and radar detector did not fit over the mirror where two standard small suction cups used to be. So now it fits right under the mirror, still out of sight, and seems rock solid. The suction cup sticks like glue. It is covered with plastic so that dust does not settle on the gel pad. Clean the windshield with denatured alcohol or similar and block it. Make sure you place it well before the last block so you don't have to move it. I also see others talking about ratcheting the vertical adjustment and not being able to line up the radar detector perfectly. For example, it slopes either up or down. For this problem, you can bend the metal bracket yourself to get a correct fit. Just be careful not to break it, and you'll only bend half a degree or so. just to match the level. Boy, after installation and in place and everything is tight, it's well sealed.
