The set is very beautiful and the materials inside are good, but really only suitable for one pair of shoes. I have not read the contents carefully and thought this was a set for those serious about dancing and that it would be a larger set with a good length of elastic and ribbon, strong needles and a full spool of suitable thread . Unfortunately, no. Like I said, it's cute and comfy. You have everything you need for a job. If you are serious about dancing en pointe I would recommend finding the right materials in bulk at fabric stores (you can get a few yards for the price of this kit!) all together. Pointe shoes are already expensive, no need to add $13 + tax and shipping for each pair to sew on ribbons.
