You need a ball joint press. So if you don't have one, rent one from The Zone or your favorite auto parts supplier. Hollow out the retaining ring first, then use a ball joint press to remove the ball joint by pressing down. It will be a very slow and painful process, but eventually they will weaken. The Moog ball joints are splined to ensure proper engagement with the forearm. When installing, ensure that the dust boot drain opening faces the engine. This prevents your catastrophic death from grease contact with the brake discs. Also, be careful not to damage the boots during installation. Note. Unlike other reviewers, the anthers were securely attached to the ball joints. Finally: I've noticed some comments and videos online that indicate the grinding of the four large lower link rivets. BREAK! Why would anyone do that when the old/new can be pushed out/plugged in, I don't understand. I'm not sure where this disinformation is coming from, but ignore it completely! Buy Moog and do it once! Hope that helps.
