I have to admit, I'm already a big Gregory Pax fan. Citro 24 H20 only confirms my respect for this company. First I chose the Citro 24 H20 for 8-10 hour day trips in mild weather. Their design is more akin to a duffel bag, essentially allowing you to fit all of your gear in one compartment. I like my packs to be able to separate my gear based on my hiking style. Jackets here, provisions there, first aid kit in this bag. The Gregory Pack lines are the best in my opinion for compensating for bays with a lighter build, making them my pick. The Citro 24 H20 is well equipped with storage pockets, cameras, snaps and pouches perfect for separating your gear at will. Front stretch and double-sided mesh pockets for quick storage Zippered hipbelt pockets for on-the-go access to snacks and phone; a padded top for fragile gear and a large main pocket with a zippered mesh pocket for storing small items. Add a bungee attachment system for trekking poles or other tools, and a QuickStow sunglass system on the shoulder strap, and you have a pack that can handle all your gear needs. End of the day. Every point of the pack that comes in contact with you while hiking has moisture-wicking material, a breathable mesh lining, or what they call VaporSpan. It is a ventilated carrying system with moisture-wicking mesh that protects your back from the pack and keeps you cool while hiking. Extremely important in weather where heat can build up. Also, don't underestimate the importance of the padded lap belts Citro has. This is common on larger bags and is replaced by simple straps on smaller packs by some companies. The Gregory Packs has a comfortable, padded waistbelt with easy access pockets, making it one of the most comfortable packs you can find in this size range.
