It was perfect for what we needed! The fit was just too big for my kid but I expected it and wish she could get more than a season out of them. They wick moisture well and keep you warm (for an afternoon ski lesson and a two-hour snowmobile ride in the mountains). She liked the velcro on the shoulder as it made it easier for her to get in and out of bed when she needed to go to the bathroom etc. They seemed to hold up well even for a very active 5 year old. We've only used her for 2 days so far but no problems and she hasn't become reckless with it in any way.
