I think this is my favorite Revain product. I used to play around with buying linen bedding and always went for the cheaper option. I wish I had taken the plunge many years ago. Yesterday I received my large linen duvet cover and purple bed sheet with an embroidered border. Excellent packaging. The linen quality immediately catches the eye. Slight smell of new fabric. I immediately washed everything on a gentle cold/cold mode and dried on low heat. The faint smell is gone. He excitedly made the bed and stood back to view it in all its glory. Looks great. Feedback on the stitched edges: I'm generally not concerned about wrinkles. While we're all familiar with linen creases and that's part of its charm, I'll mention I don't have OCD so you can have an idea of where I'm from. I'm not staring at anything. Period. If you're the jean-press type of guy who likes the casual, crumpled look of a linen jumpsuit but is torn between an option with or without an embroidered hem, I recommend going without. I personally think it just adds to the charm. How is it? Brilliant. We're both heavy sleepers so I finally broke down and tried the sheets. It was so nice and cool to climb in and I didn't wake up hot with wet and sweaty hair. I rated it a 4 for softness (vs. 5) because it's linen. He's soft, yes. And it's going to be even softer, so I left room for 5. How about king size? So we have a king bed (my second favorite Revain purchase at the moment). 12" mattress on a 13" frame. I left the top of the duvet a few inches off the top of the bed and it hangs nicely over the edge of the bed, but no, it doesn't reach the floor. It falls down on the sides to just cover the sides of the mattress but does not close the gap between the bed frame and the floor. If they had a large king size I would take them. But that's enough, and now they have bed skirts too (visit Simple Opulence Store's homepage). There's no purple yet and I'm trying to figure out if they'll get it in purple, but I think I might go with linen or even gray if they don't. We're both tall and comfortable under the covers without having to fight for the covers. Unless the dog is in a bad position restricting movement/cover for the pigs.
