Read this before you buy or you may be disappointed with your purchase.

I bought this pedal because I needed it to be compatible with my TMX Pro handlebar. I figured if I chose the TH8A over the Fanatec or Logitech switches I could save a USB slot by putting it in the steering wheel. No, I was wrong! Nowhere in the marketing materials was this ever disclosed when purchasing the product. The first problem is that it requires a USB connection to use it with a PC! It's not the worst problem, the worst problem is that it requires USB 2.0 and as luck would have it my $450 motherboard wasn't cheap on USB ports so I'm lucky I didn't have USB 2 ports have! It's ridiculous that I need USB 2 when USB 3 has been down longer than the switch! It's good build material and that's the most positive thing I can say about it as there are some growth issues trying to fit that into your setup. !The next problem is that the calibration tool didn't tell me what to do next, did some steps without repeating the gesture, back to idle and then back to gear, and almost never completed it. Fine-tuning phase, not to mention applying the settings. Well, it turns out I need to move the green lines when fine-tuning, and I wasn't told that anywhere in the application! No I had to download the calibration manual for something that could be explained with a pop up dialog. That brings me to the next question. Assetto Corsa let me adjust the shifter after calibrating it, but then reverse just decided it wouldn't work in game and I got stuck in a spot where I couldn't turn it. . It's a bit of a hassle, but turns out to be an AC issue since they want auto-switching enabled by default (Ctrl+G in a PC game disables this). I just completed this switch and I'm almost done with Thrustmaster! Seriously, why is the world's most customizable platform (PC) forced to use USB when an Xbox One runs a version of Windows 10 and never has an issue with a dedicated shifter cable attached to the steering wheel. So, I've softened my stance on the Switch a bit, now it works in Corsa and I've found some other issues, but the growth issues with this product are real and it just shouldn't take that much work. to add a switch to this setting. Also, I'm still frustrated that you have to use USB on PC and I think force feedback for missed shifts and gear grinding in the pedal would be a great feature.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
