When they work, they're great. Gorgeous colors. Long cable and lightless section between the solar panel and the beginning of the part you are using, so if you need to place the panel away from the subject (in my case the wood and panel needed some clearance to get good sunlight) and don't have colored lights on the ground. The range of light pattern options is also wide. But. They arrived on June 1st. I put them on the tree within a week. Today is July 26th and they've been dead for more than two weeks. So let's say June 5th to maybe July 12th. A little over a month. Very disappointing as they were the centerpiece of the memorial garden. Now there were two threads in the backpack so I'm not entirely without a light, but I did have to disassemble and re-tighten quite a bit. and if the second set lasts just as little until September I will be shopping again. After trying different things over the past five days, I opened the loading panel. I was expecting water to get in or the cord to snap or something. Oddly enough, it looks perfect. All cables are present and soldered. The box itself was covered with an impregnation that looked like it lasted much longer. I even tried changing the battery but to no avail. I checked the cable hole and it looks ok; doesn't cut or break anything. Very disappointing but nice while they lasted.
