Review on MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD 2560X1440 Monitor 🖥️ with Adjustable Stand, 165Hz, High Dynamic Range by Marcus Hegie

This is a great looking screen. I needed a flat screen and after using Samsung Quantum Dot monitors I decided to give it a try. Hardware Unboxed gave an excellent review. I used the more expensive MSI MPG341CQR but the curved 34 inch screen stretched images/documents to the edge of the screen. This is a great gaming monitor, but not for work. For this reason I needed a very good flat screen for work and leisure. Pros: Very bright The screen looks and responds like a premium monitor. Very low latency 165Hz. More square shape than elongated 27" monitors. Vesa mount compatible. Compatible with PS5 for 4K downscaling. MSi did a fantastic job here. Viewing angles. Cons: Simple box. I'm used to nicer packaging. The backlight on the back of the Monitor's is rather flimsy. Plastic body is ok. Needs some calibration to make it look better right out of the box. It's too bright but easy to adjust via OSD to look good for gaming and everyday use. I would recommend the tool recommend when working with photos.MSI Gaming OSD software had to be uninstalled from computer as it didn't recognize the transition from 1 MSI monitor to this one.I am very impressed with this monitor.The screen looks and is good fast and responsive my complaints are very few as the frame and box materials are very soft I hesitated after reading reviews about dead pixels, but no one noticed. The IPS glow is almost non-existent. I definitely recommend this for gaming, productivity, and photo/video work. I chose between these, LG IPS, Dell/Alienware and Samsung G7 monitors. A powerful GPU is required to reach 165 Hz.
