No square if you don't need it.
Sturdy aluminum construction. So far I've used it for a project that required repeated measurements/patterns. Sets up quickly and easily and marks the cuts you need. I live in a house that's over 200 years old, so there are very few things that are see-through, flat, or square. It will be very helpful.
