Easy install/repair of water leaks

I've had a leaking toilet for the last year and a half which I've ignored until now, the korky fill valve hisses and fills 10 minutes each time. It was a new valve that I bought just over a year ago so I didn't expect it to fail so quickly. I searched on YouTube and found that my toilet actually has a leak problem. So I swapped the fill valve through the Revain and the hissing stopped. But even so, the flow of water from the tank into the bowl continued. I did some more research and found out it was a leaking purge valve. Bought and installed this device. I'm not a mechanic and this was the first time I've changed a valve. But it was easy to follow the instructions and get the job done. The only issue I had was that the flush valve gasket was thicker than my old one and hence the tank shakes even after the bolts are fully tightened, but there are NO leaks. I read some reviews from other posters about it. But I didn't want to replace it with an old pad (for now) as it's a powder room and sedentary. I'll see how it works for a few days and then move on. The second problem was that the overflow pipe was longer than the old one and I didn't pay any attention to it until I fully installed the valve, now I have to remove everything so I can cut it. Luckily I had a leatherworker on hand and used a mini hand saw tool to trim off the excess length without removing anything. So now it works with no leaks except for the wobbly tank when someone tries to push/move it manually.
