I have a manufacturing facility where we ship many boxes of groceries daily and process about a dozen rolls a week. I've tried cheap tape from auction sites and more expensive tape in different weights from shipping companies. Tapes less than 2.5 mils thick are so brittle that they will get stuck in tape dispensers and wrinkle when applied. A lot of the cheap tapes from auction sites didn't stick well and came off upon delivery. The heavier vendor tapes worked fine but were damn expensive for that damn tape. It's a great balance of good strength, enough thickness to not bunch or fold, good strong adhesion and a great price. This is my packing tape.
